Alison Needham, Headshot

Hey there, Iโ€™m Alison.

This is where I cook, create, and gatherโ€”a cozy, sun-drenched corner of the internet dedicated to fresh, seasonal, gluten-free food made with heart.

I learned to cook from my mom and Martha (yes, that Martha…well, her cookbooks at least). My mom passed down her deep love of food and the joy of feeding people well. Martha gave me the techniques, the timing, and a deep appreciation for a well-set table. Somewhere between them, I found my own rhythmโ€”and my own obsession with cookbooks, farmerโ€™s markets, and dance parties while the pasta water boils.

But everything changed in 2011, when I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Suddenly, the foods I lovedโ€”cake, pie, pasta, toastโ€”were off the table. Or so I thought.

After a brief (okay, slightly dramatic) mourning period, I got to work. I cleaned out my pantry, swapped out my flours, and defloured my kitchen. And what started as a necessity turned into something beautiful: a way of cooking thatโ€™s just as comforting, even more creative, and honestly, way more fun.
